When I first volunteered to help with Torch Together holidays, I asked Mike why a blind person would want to go sightseeing.  His response was simple and non-judgemental and, of course, I soon realised what I already knew - that there is much more to our experience of life than just what we see with our eyes.

In the couple of years I've been with Torch, I've enjoyed many conversations with Mike and listed to many of his talks.  He has always been inspirational and I was always blessed by his words.
